Launch of Internationalisation Talent Solutions Map

Growing Global: Developing Talent, Supporting Enterprises

Internationalisation is a key growth strategy of companies, especially when faced with increased competition, digitalisation and limited local market. A key challenge to success is having the right internationalisation human capital talent. SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) and International Trading Institute @ Singapore Management University (ITI@SMU) embarked on a research study to develop an Internationalisation Talent Solutions Map (iTalent Solutions Map) to help Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) build their internationalisation human capital pipeline.

The iTalent Solutions Map addresses both the employer’s and employee’s perspectives to map out skills and capabilities needed for internationalisation. A pilot programme has been developed to provide SMEs and Human Resource managers with guidelines to construct their internationlisation human capital strategy. It also serves to enable employees to hone their internationlisation skills (iSkills).
